Last month I entered my little Woodland Fairy Door piece to the AMCAW (Alliance of Metal Clay Artists World Wide.) in their Man, Myth and Magic challange.
I am incredibly excited and honoured to let you know it was awarded a certificate of Merit and is now in the final for the peoples choice awards!
You may remember I wrote about the making of the Fairy door piece in my August Make of the month post. The fairydoor has a tiny working door knocker and has been lovingly hand sculpted using FYI 999 silver clay. The door frame, knocker and hidden bale have been cast from real Birch twig. The toadstool and trailing ivy leaves have been sculpted by hand.
